Subscribers are forced to take sports channels, and we are forced to pay for them despite the fact that a lot of people don't watch them and they are among the most expensive channels per subscriber.
I'm not going to stand up for cable providers, but when you're told you have to carry all our channels or none, well you're over the barrel.
While Hollywood shoulders a great deal of the blame, don't forget the 21st century opiate of the masses, sports programing.
I almost never watch sports programing at home. I'll admit I enjoy watching the Phillies play (I was a fan when they sucked, so all you pointing the bandwagon finger can beat it), but I either go out to watch, or go to the game. -- Petty people are disproportionably corrupted by petty power
