| 3250HD DVI Issues
Anybody else out there with a 3250HD hooked up with DVI/HDMI have this problem?
This only happens on 720p channels. 1080i channels are fine and if I up-convert the the 720p to 1080i there fine.
The HDTV is a 720p - 1080i set. I can feed a 720p source from any other device (xbox360 / up-converting dvd player / HTPC) and I don't have this issue. |

| reply to BiGdUsTy Yea all 720p channels do it abc, fox, espn etc. The panels native is 1366x768. This only started when I moved from component to dvi output and it's not always there. I think the whole problem is a matter of old out dated software in the box that dates back to 2006. The TV is less than a year old and has HDMI 1.3a while the STB is DVI from 2006.
I think the issue has to do with the way the STB and TV negotiate the handshake for HDCP and outdated software. I would like to move up to the 8300HD which has real HDMI out and not DVI. However I don't care to pay the extra fee for the DVR. |

Have you looked through the setup menu of either the TV of cable box for an image shift setting? Looks like it would only need to shift a live or two up to get rid of the junk.
The DVR fee is a lot cheaper then a scaler that would take care of it for you. |
