| Verizon and ATT are not Dish Sorry but Verizon and ATT are not Dish Network. Dish has been struggling for years whereas Verizon and ATT are communications titans. Both companies have the financial capability to make this a long, drawn out process for TiVo.

I'm not so sure. TiVo already has a solid, winnable case put together. They have invested a great deal of resources in their battle with Dish, so they may as well try and get as much money as they can for all that initial research and preparation. |

If Tivo wins their case, would Verizon or AT&T just bite the bullet and buy Tivo? They've both got far more cash than Dish, and rumors were Dish was weighing a hostile takeover of Tivo. |

Especially after Tivo wins a huge court case against them. You have to think like a telco executive: we are the best, we deserve handouts with no strings attached, we create the rules that others live by, etc. |
