·RoadRunner Cable

First there were querks, But smooth now!

The whole process took 1 month, from the initial sales confirmation to the actual install. The sales rep's were always courteuos, whenever I could get hold of them. The main problem was the speed right off. I was getting 14up/68dwn. That was worse than my old dial-up. I was told that I was being directed to their Chicago router. It all began to make since, especially since I live in California. The reason they told me was because whenever the install of a new customer takes place, Chicago is the easiest way to quickly set up lines. I appreciated their honesty, and demanded they switch me to a closer router, preferrably one in California. The next day, I was informed, by phone, that I had been switched and am now being routed out of Los Angeles. The speed was instantly noticable, when I speed tested my connection, I was at a steady 134/134kbps. That is 93% of the actual 144kbps. That's great, since I'm 16,290 feet from my CO. I am very pleased and ever since I've had no problems. I just wish that I wouldn't have had to call them sooo much during my first month of service.

I was in the same boat!! but now all good

I was in same boat...they finally got me routed to the LA backhole or what ever they call em...I'm running sweet now too with my 144/144 =] Bazillion is working to improve their service. an update to the customer support line has recently been turned on and yes they are on covad's distressed list of ISP's but was informed that they are one of the more amicable companies. YES, they are still partners with covad unlike someone else has reported here (I believe in the covad forum)and are still filling orders for them. If your under the 50/month no contract for IDSL don't make that switch yet. Covad doens't have a time limit on the safety net program according to the two reps i talked to today so until u get that "your dsl line will become inactive on this date" your only screwing your self by paying a higher price. Unless of course your experience with Bazillion has been nothing but a nightmare and then switching would be warranted.
