| At least READ the source before trying to make a point. The vulnerability only occurs if your phone is a 2G/3G hybrid and your provider is a 2G/3G hybrid as well. When the phone transitions from a 3G cell to a 2G cell, the man in the middle attack is valid. However, when the user is in a 3G only network or uses only a 3G phone, there is no vulnerability. The upcoming Bell/Telus 3G network is such an example. My point still stangs : 3G UMTS is not vulnerable to such attack.

 dib22 join:2002-01-27 Kansas City, MO kudos:2 | at&t and tmobile are 2g/3g hybrids...they can't really offer you a 3g only phone or you will be without coverage daily ... cdma is still the choice for ota security in the usa. |
