The device works fantastically and the voice quality is the better then any phone I have ever used, be it landline, voip or cell.
I got my Airave for the same reason you did. Coverage in the house was lousy, but now it is excellent. And I got the Airave for free and I get a credit for the monthly $5 fee. And since my cellphone has WiFi capability, the lack of 3G/4G on the Airave is not a problem at all. The Airave supplies an excellent voice experience and the WifI access gives me all the data speed for the smartphone I ever wanted.
