| Sprint never even mentioned it as an option About 2 years ago moved into a house that had zero reception. You could get it if you walked down to the end of the block, but not that house or the houses on either side of it. Spoke to Sprint regarding the options. They sent a tech out to measure levels, confirmed it was a blocked signal issue.
They switched me to a free roaming plan (Verizon tower was 100 yards from the house) and I used that. it worked well, but any minute used while roaming is considered an anytime minute. So nights and weekends were billed as anytime. That was a surprise.
After dealing with this for a year and relocating for other reasons, i find out they had Femtocells. I would have been interested in one (although would not have paid for one). If they had offered it to me, I would have gladly left it "open" for my neighbors to use to fill the coverage hole.
Oh well, their loss. -- This Space for Rent... |
