1 edit | phone calls on 3g didnt work during the upgrade On the day they were making the change here in Morris County NJ (8/21/09), for about 5-6 hours or so, phone calls on 3g wouldn't work right.
You could talk and the caller would hear you, but you couldn't hear them. The solution was to turn 3g off.
They fixed it after a few hours and via the iphones field test mode, I noted its now using 850 for 3G. |

| reply to blacknoi Here in S. Florida I was having issues making calls during peak times. Some troubleshooting showed that I did not have any such issues with a Blackberry 8700 (EDGE-only). Setting the phone to dual mode instead of UMTS-only has resolved the issue and the phone always showed 3G in dual mode anyways. -- PRescott7-2097 |

 | reply to Cod said by Cod:Any speed differences now? They seem the same to me, but I only had the phone for about 1 week prior to the change.
The speed test app shows about 400 kbps average download and 100 kbps upload speeds over the past 9 days of me testing twice a day. |
