| Mediacom Columbus now 12/1, 15/1 & 20/2, what about Knology?
Title says it all. Mediacom has increased their speeds in all markets, regardless of competition. Now their standard package is double that of Knology's, with nearly 3x the upload.
Come on Knology, you used to be the fastest player in town, and now you're at the bottom with Charter and AT&T. |

| relax, mediacom had a better built infrastructure and could roll out docsis 3.0 faster than knology. but i believe a speed boost for columbus is coming soon, the question still remains, when?

I use a »www.syswan.com/SW24_Overview.htm router that lets you have a fairly good bit of control which traffic goes where... |

| reply to DJ The thing about Mediacom and Charter in Columbus is their plant has so many leaks it's ridiculous. Whenever you have a leaky plant it causes the noise floor to elevate which causes the carrier to noise ratio to drop. That in turn makes their service very spotty. My grandmother used to have Mediacom and their service was terrible. Not only that, it took usually a week for a tech to come check on any issue. Knology is going about things the right way in Columbus, and is getting the noise problems fixed before doc3 is deployed, which isn't too far away from what I hear. |

I've stated many times how unreliable Mediacom's internet is, so I can't agree with you more. That's the #1 reason why I'm staying put with Knology. Just want those higher speeds, that's all! |
