This isn't a deal anyway... by the time you add in all their fees (modem, phone converter, cable-box, DVR, etc, etc) and the additional costs for the packages you want on the cable side (DVR, cablecard, box), you're back over $125-130/month. And that is before the state adds its share.

As I and others have observed in the past, there are deals to be had when you go de-bundled, picking the best value with MC competitors.

Cheap 6MB DSL and cheap POTS (with google voice!) + the MC cable monopoly work for us. Do not confuse Metrocast in one state with Metrocast in another state.

Here in CT Metrocast is just fine. That's prolly because Metrocast purchased a really nicely setup rather smallish Cable business.

In other states, well, all bets are off... you really need to be specific when asking about the experience of others.
