| Broadband customers overcharged by poor usage calculators  Regulators should require all broadband providers that charge for or limit usage, provide an easily accessible usage report. The usage report would be in the form of a webpage that shows the total usage that has accrued for the billing period. To be fair to the customer, the data downloaded accessing the webpage should not count against their monthly allocation. The ISP could use the ID Number of the wireless modem to direct the users browser directly to the correct usage file without requiring a login. Customers would always know how much of their monthly allocation that they have used anytime they used their broadband service. |
