• EV-DO Rev. Downlink peak speed is 3.1 Mbps max. Those on single T-1 towers get around 1.2 Mbps max. You can't get something that is not there.
That's why I'm asking how anyone could get such a result on their speedtest...

he just showed you in the conversion chart, look at the chart and convert it, he's not getting what you think, hes just getting the max for evdo, nothing more. everyone is looking at the speedtest and freaking out saying OMG and no its not OMG its "oh nice speed" hes getting the most possible because hes probably really close to a really nice tower and getting the most out of his evdo modem that he could possibly get. HES NOT GOD JUST FORTUNATE to be that close to a good tower.

1xEVDOrA - Down Link: 3.1Mbps Up Link: 1.8Mbps
1Xrtt - Down and Up link speeds up to 153.6Kbps

Dude... Take another look at the conversion chart. As has been noted, 3.1 megabits per second is the stated max for EVDO Rev A. That computes to 3100 kilobits per second. The guy shows 10344 kilobits per second. More than three times the theoretical limit of Rev A. You think I'm missing something here, but the only thing I'm missing is how anyone could hit that speed, since it should be impossible. And no, I don't think he's God...

at this point, who cares . . .

We are not him, and we're not getting those speeds, and he most likely isn't either . . .

Ha! Good point. On all three... I still wonder though.

No I am not God LOL. I can tell you one thing I do not use a Cyfre amplifier booster I use a Wilson booster. Cyfre did not work that well. I use a cradlepoint mbr 1000. Should I say how I do it? is it a trick? Have I hacked the booster or the modem? Do I know a tech at Verizon? or speedtest.net

But like Compugaybna says who really cares

Okay... After that post I'm leaning towards the photoshop explanation.

Another explanation: load balancing between Verizon and either Sprint WiMAX or a Verizon + Sprint + AT&T threesome. Or Verizon + Sprint + T-Mobile. But probably not.

MUCH BETTER than yesterday. I was in the 100Kbps range. I think they had to reboot the network at the tower!! First time I've ever had to call for support.

LOL how can I photoshop a link from speednet. Contact them send them the link and wait for the explanation. Those speeds are not sustained but I get incredible bursts now and then.
