Why not just offer this as an opt-in service?

Yep, and companies that don't have DNS redirection might get a couple of customers because of this. Though around here the alternative is Qwest...which also does DNS redirection :/

Yeah, it is such a valuable "service". Of course, the ads served count against the cap. Neat.
