Same here... I'm on the 550/$59.99 family plan , and don't qualify. To pay $30/month more, it would be the same as cutting my landline...which includes free calling to Canada. Not happening.

Oooh, I misread the article. Yeah, we won't be eligible for this as we're on an 800 minute plan (700 minute from AT&T directly) that is a little less than $69.99/month. Well that sucks ...

Hmm 16 percent for social and medicare, then another 25-33 on average for income adds up quite fast to near 50 percent. Sure not exactly 50, but sadly close enough.

That's before deductions. I'm self-emplyed so I pay an additional 15% ON TOP of that, and I am able to get mine to about 18% after deductions ... and I don't even have kids.
