Hi Brendan,

Thank you very much for your immediate reply on this. Most of the people are looking for this and they do not want to leave viatalk too, because of viatalk features and excellent service.

Sounds to me like Vonage's move to this is creating demand.

Good.

I'd like to get to a point where the phone feels something like Skype. You just pick it up and use it and not think about any extra costs.

it's been a while since I've looked at the TOS, but I believe it may still say something to the effect that residential service is not to be used for business purposes, and that they consider reasonable use some where in the neighbourhood of 5k minutes.

I've not touched 5k limit (maybe 2.5k on occasion), and although it's not "unlimited" it's still a "shload" of minutes. I agree it would be nice to use some of those minutes to call internationally and have it all included in the price.

Still waiting for an update. I am getting near the end of my contract and I want to move to Vonage, but if Viatalk have similar plan then I will stick with Viatalk. So waiting for an update about this plan. If we can atleast get some details about the plan here, that would be nice, since it helps to take a decision.
Thanks

As with many vendors this can be anywhere from immediate to six months, if ever...

If VT is meeting your needs otherwise, but international calling is a requirement, then hedge your bet and convert to a monthly plan. That way you can cancel anytime without any termination fees. If they come through, you're good to go and convert to the yearly plan, if not, you have time to port your number out and not have any real deadlines.

Holy crap!

I just had a long horrible experience with Indian tech support with Verizon. If Tech support goes down the tubes when I need it (which isn't very often) I'll switch providers.

I think voipjunk was joking. I certainly don't plan on moving out of the continent anytime soon.

gardrail, I was just joking about it. I think Via talk has the best customer service among voip providers.
