Same results here too! Only getting about 1 meg down and 1 meg up. I have the gamers package and normally get 6-9 megs down. Have noticed this for the past couple of weeks now!

What does Metrocast charge for the "gamer's package"? 9MB download sounds great, I only get 7MB for around $43.95 right now.

Not sure a 2 mb upgrade is worth that price difference. Especially if you're actually gaming. You wouldn't notice any benefits.

Mississippi is no better. Call and complain regularly, they'll send a tech out to go "I dunno" and leave, but keep complaining and they will give you a discount on their garbage service.

same here.. and this is to a test server only 2 hops away and no more than 10 miles up the road in California. This has been going on since moving here 2 years ago. Midnight to 5pm it's golden, 10/1 HS Gamers package. 5pm to midnight, I lose 80% of the download bandwidth. Modem signals remain constant.

Why are we being billed for 10/1 when we're losing 80% during prime gaming hours?????

And in the words of a MC Maintenance Engineer:

There is a bandwidth commit level problem in the Lexington Park area as other employees that live here are having the same problem. Escalated up to the head-end guys for investigation.

(and that was May 8, 2009)

I'm going to go to city hall and start complaining. This is BS. If they don't want to fix their system, then i don't think i should have to pay full price for a service i don't get.
