Sprint currently offers truly unlimited data in pc cards to business accounts now, I believe it was $69.99 and no cap.

Smartphone data is soft-capped. Mobile broadband is the only thing with a hard cap.

There is no soild proof that Sprint has a hard cap. Many people have used more than 5gigs per month without a problem. I've done it. My dad has done it. NOTHING happens! It's only there to be there.

You're probably grandfathered in. New Sprint mobile broadband accounts aren't.

It is a soft cap, STILL, with all customers. if you use more than 5GB more than two times in a 3 month window, you will get a slap on the wrist is all. They are not cutting people off or billing for overage. If you continually go over the 5gb cap, you may wind up with out service any more. They are trying to see that the service is used for MOBILE internet, and not a home internet solution.

Going over 5gb per month is a way to weed out those that get the service as a home replacement for wired services.

Look in the SPrint forum. I've seen stories to the contrary.

That said, Millenicom's $70 package is indeed unlimited.

Whoever wrote that article has no clue what they're saying. Data is truly unlimited and not subject to the 5GB on HANDSETS. The 5GB cap is when using a data card or tethering (officially that is, since on Pre for example they don't offer the tethering option but it can be done via homebrew).

Uh No it's not. It states that on their website. They also resell VZW Service.

Silly wabbit, don't you know by now not to trust small company websites to be up to date? I have a friend who uses MCom unlimited for $70. It is really unlimited.

I stand corrected as far as that goes since it was updated. But either way it used to state Uncapped and then would go on about a 5gig cap.

It still uses VZW and is under their control.

And just because their small doesn't mean anything. I've called them for service and the company didn't know a damn thing. Instead you heard a group of people in the back ground screaming, and laughing and telling jokes. Not very professional if you ask me.

And I wouldn't trust a company like them any day of the week.

I don't always, and rarely, ever trust a "common consumer" or web user to get an accurate description or depiction of policies. Because of the account that I have, I deal with a much higher quality of customer service with Sprint, dealing with permanent account reps and all. what I said I stand by. There are some people that you can tell there is a soft 5gb cap, and they will turn it around as it's a hard cap.. I also don't even believe at least 50% of what most users here say as they turn out to be wrong... as is the case of the so called 5gb hard cap.. it's not true.

Again, depends on when you signed up and under what account. You're right that your business accounts are at worst pooled and soft-capped, but more likely not capped at all. Sprint's costs aren't that high for additional lines of service and they want to keep you as a customer.

For "grandfathered" folks, the 2-out-of-3 rule applies...you will eventually be kicked off (aka forced to move to MCom at $70/mo) for overusage of data.

For new customers on single-line MBB accounts, the direct policy is 5GB then 5¢ per MB. They won't cut you off. They'll just charge you for going over.
