The exclusivity was just a negotiated term of the deal with the NFL that the NFL agreed to. Every cable, telco, and satellite provider had an opportunity to bid on the rights to Sunday Ticket. They just chose not to have the highest bid. It's not as if DirecTV bought the NFL and is only keeping it only to themselves. |
