I would have to disagree with the statement made in the previous post. "Consumers want "unlimited" but don't want to pay for it."
Why should I pay for VOIP if it the reason for going to voip was to beat the pots line. Last time I had a pots line was min $23 and that was just to have the phone line no usage. It's probably a lot more now.
I had BroadvoxDirect from the second round of sign ups they did few years back. I can say for the most part they been reliable to me. Not sure what Phone Power will be. I may end up shipping the new equipment back and canceling I don't know.
But its not fair to say we don't want to pay for unlimited those of us that don't use the phone all that much . I don't like to get gouged either. I think paying 30 or 40 for unlimited like what Comcast and others are doing it just greed and equipment being paid for 100 times over.
I think unlimited should not be any more than $20 (includes taxes and the illegal fees) and much lower pricing for less than unlimited and not go overboard with pay as you go option and if a company's business model can't support that then it's plain gouging.
It's to bad BroadvoxDirect is dropping us. I wonder if Phone Power uses Broadvox as their carrier.
Hell No, they own and operate their own servers
