3 edits | Sprint horror story of the day
Posted yesterday under "Sprint says your service is terminated for exceeding 5 GB by Burnerski" that I received my 'we don't want your business' letter for usage violation.
Called today to terminate (going to Millenicom). The number on the letter was a weekday only # so I called the 211.4727 #. The person transferred me to another # (probably the same one mentioned), got vmail and a hangup.
Called back. Was told I had an ETF @$150 and I said nope, I can fax the original order info from 9/2/07. She wanted me to call the weekday # for "options". I said I didn't want any, just release my card so I can go away. She said they had stopped and restarted me in 12/07 (probably when I was down for a week+ with the port 80 fiasco). She supposedly fixed my ETF (I fully expect a bill) and terminated my service for 10/8. I said I wanted it off now so my card would be released. She said she had no control over the date.
I can't afford for my service to go down "10/8" - I work from home and that's a Thu. Plus, who knows when it will really stop, probably right when I have a fire drill at work).
Called back for tech support (I'll transfer my 598u ESN I just bought back to my old Pantech! - more than one way to skin a lousy company!). The girl was very nice and supposedly swapped my ESNs and I immediately hit return on my Millenicom BYOD signup form.
I'm still connected though. If my wife can't work later she's going to kill me!
Stay tuned...
I sure hope someone from Sprint reads this, no wonder they are bleeding customers!! |

| I just went to a customer who had a $500 overage bill from Sprint in 1 month. They have a 17 yr old grandaughter living with them. Guess we know how that happened.
Anyhoo - they were sure glad to see me give them an option They immediately canceled their Sprint account while I was there. -- ... need help? »evdo-tips.com/ |

I sure hope someone from Sprint reads this, no wonder they are bleeding customers!! Sprint is no different than the other wireless providers. All have limits and caps and is even an issue with Millenicom.
IMO it's unrealistic to expect a single wireless connection to support two people using it for business in addition to personal use. That was never intended by the providers and they are taking the necessary steps to curb it.
Why not get a business internet connection? Millenicom is not going to be able to allow high usage for very long. Both Sprint and Verizon notifies Millenicom on high users. |

Was that the $69/mo unlimited Sprint option? I thought that went away. |

| reply to Jack_in_VA 2 People on a card in a rouer works fine. I don't see 15gb a month a lot of usage. We purposely don't video. She teaches and I use VPN.
If you say unlimited, then you should keep your word. THATS business.
I'm game for a business acount, haven't seen that option.
The telecom/cable cartel won't allow wired service in my area because it isn't dense enough. |

| reply to mc1lean I'm up on my 598U this morning so I assume I'm a Millinecom customer now. Can't really tell since everything looks the same.
Little trouble last night getting my MSL to work but the Millinecom support team was very helpful - especially a person named Putter. |

Not just two, but 4 or 5 users on one mobile device.

Should we just say "misleading" advertising? |

Should we just say "misleading" advertising? 5GB total for 4 people 'mifi'ing in their little car as they commute every day (per the commercial)? I assume you must work in the industry to try to sell that... |
