anon posted : Did a change at Fox cause the problem? Yes.

That's not what I'm arguing. If Fox is putting out a compliant signal, which it appears that they are, any decoder should be able to handle that signal without issue. If it can't, then it is a problem with the decoder.

I'm coming at this issue with the assumption that the signal is compliant, because all of the evidence I've seen supports that. If that is indeed the case, while Fox could show some goodwill and change things back, they have no obligation to do so. If it's not the case, then Fox needs to fix their encoders to put out compliant signals, period.

And yes, there were people in that thread, just like I said here, that DTV DVRs have seen the issue to. So it's not just a SA thing. It's Fox and Motorola up to their usual douchebaggery.
dfrez posted : Same issue here in Sterling Heights with the SA 8300HDC. I noticed this about a month ago watching Fox Saturday baseball and it has continuted with the start of the football season. I'm almost sure it isn't the box but rather the feed from Fox due to this happening ONLY with Fox.

anon posted : Anyone else having problems with Fox 2 LIVE HD, like football today or the baseball game of the week yesterday? For lack of a better description, the image is jittering, like an extremely fast stop motion. Doesn't happen on analog 2, or 202 without the converter box. It only happens through the SA 4250HDC.

It doesn't happen on Cops last night (HD program, but not live) or local HD news or the dramas/sitcoms/etc that are in HD. Just LIVE HD sports. HD commercials during these live HD sports broadcasts are fine though. But the pregame now, and the shots of the around the league pre-game stuff....totally unwatchable. Same with the baseball game yesterday.

And oh, it didn't just happen. Been that way since I got the 4250HDC about a month ago but today is the first day I cared because of the start of NFL. When I saw it before, another baseball game of the week, just figured it was the feed from that stadium and didn't think twice about it and watched something else.

The problem doesn't happen on ESPN/2, NBC, CBS or ABC during their live HD sports.

Any thoughts? I'm probably going to exchange the box and see if that helps.
