I'm not going to let Matt live this down, lol. Must be a few left over bugs that need some spray? Hope we get an update soon? I'm going out for a cruise, will come back and see what has happened. Good Day

I hope they work things out before the weekend is over. |

ViaTalk had "failover" and if you do some searching you will find alot of people had problems with it. Knowing the crew at PP well enough I'm sure they will implement measure so these problems do not kick them in the teeth again. I have Skype, and a cell phone so no worries for me. In some respects its nice not to have the phone ring? Thank Stewart... Now what happened? |

We are such an always connected society; blackberries shoving data down our throats, phone always ringing, computer always on, etc. I know I suffer from disconnection syndrome?

So I look at it this way, I could either:
A. Be pissed, stressed, rant and rave about how I going to leave PP, etc.
B. Get on Skype, Cell Phone, Internet, and get connected again which still puts the anger toward the back of my mind.
C. Recognize that s#$t happens, maybe it is a sign from above to just relax, breathe, etc. Leave my toys at home and use the time on my motorcycle to just be in the moment.
I think C is the best choice. Now if this was a monthly occurrence then yeah maybe it would be time for me to part ways and find another provider.
P.S. Or it could be turning 30 made me more Jaded and I just don't care anymore, lol. |

Curious, over a three year customer at VT and never had an issue with Network Down Forward (NDF), which is what "failover" really is. Again I am curious why nearly every PP thread you post in has you drumming up something about VT? What is your grudge? Why do you take such Hacks at VT? You are new here, but seem to yearn to tell a story.
You seem so quick to dismiss PP shortcomings as 'every provider has outages', yet do not offer that same courtesy to what I presume is your former provider.
For me, the most essential feature for moving to VoIP was having the ability to roll calls over to my cell should there be a network or power issue. It has always worked for me in these past 3+ years with the above mentioned provider. A NDF feature does not work in a situation where the providers systems are out as they are the very systems that would be controlling the forward action to your alternate number. |

Lets see the CEO was rude to me, then did not answer tickets in a timely manner, there service never worked half the time with hacks or tinkering, billing was a nightmare to deal with, etc. Sorry pal it was just a little bit more then just ViaCrap having outages that irked me. You are in the wrong forum "my friend" most people here left ViaCrap's stellar service for something better. BTW maybe you should PM a good friend of mine so he can tell you how the CEO had offered him 5 free years of service in exchange for pumping the service like a dog in heat, lol. |
