| [netopia] Opening Ports/Port Forwarding...........
I'm using a Netopia 3347-2-100Q Modem/Router combo. The application I need to forward ports to requires that I open port 50000 in TCP and UDP protocols. Using the configuration instructions I am able to accomplish the task in ONE or the OTHER, BUT NOT BOTH. Qwest is my ISP as is the modem. Qwest is telling me that this modem cannot do that. Is there a fix for this? Do I need a different Modem? If so, what and where? |

| I, too, have the same issue on exactly the same router and even the same provider -- Qwest here in Colorado. I'm looking to open up TCP and UDP for DNS (port 53), and sadly, setting up two openings in the NAT settings for it results in no traffic making it through via TCP, but UDP passing through fine. From what I can see from the TCP dumps, it seems that the SYNs are being RST'd straight up. Ie:
Sadly, the NAT port forwarding doesn't seem configurable from the CLI, either. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. |

| reply to otscay if your GUI has not been disabled do it from teh pinhole screen. simply setup one pinhole for TCP and one for UDP. i dunno about doing it via CLI, never tried it. -- Lack of Preparation on YOUR Part does NOT Constitute an Emergency on Mine! |
