Re: Researchers tell Senate cellphone cancer needs more study when looking at the characteristics of the waves emitted from a cell phone at the typical frequencies (850, 1700, 1800, 1900), one can see that these waves perform better at warming food than causing cancer. this is called "non-ionizing" waves, and when one looks at the physics behind these waves, they shouldnt be of any concern. broadcast television has been using waves of a similar nature for decades. the biggest concern to a person with these waves is if you are near a high power transmitter; you are in for a wicked burn.
i am all for making sure that consumers are safe, but this is nothing more than a group of people preying on the uneducated public to pass their own agenda. i saw a similar story on nbc nightly news and let the people claiming to be "concerned" have it with their "contact us" page. we have been blasted with more harmful radiation for millenia (uv anyone?). fud. pure and simple.
