Re: Massive Slowdowns? Weird pings? Bresnan said "These ping and trace times are right were they should be."
Should I be surprised? :-( |

Although, it is making Bresnan look bad to their customers. I know I'd ditch SprintLink and find a different pipe since they're kinda breaking their contract. I don't care. I pay Bresnan. They should work to make my internet experience better. I don't care that I only got 6mbit speed test on their internal server when I am paying for 8mbit. What I care about is the fact that my pings are horrible. This is all I want.
Since Bresnan is a customer of Sprint's data lines, they should aggressively bring it up with Sprint. They need to fix it because it is unacceptable. -- Whats smells like blue? |

 | reply to bigburd FWIW, the speedtest servers are as follows if you want to ping them: location.speedtest.bresnan.net. So, for example the Billings server would be billings.speedtest.bresnan.net and so on. |

 | Yeah, they kept it clean for the Holiday weekend. Now back to Bresnan's NORMAL.^v^v^v^v^v^v............... |
|
 | I noticed for the first night since the issue was fixed for my area latency jumped during peak hours to about twice what is normal. It seemed to depend on what server you were pinging so I cannot say with certainty it was Bresnan this time. |
|
 | reply to Fasttazz isnt it amazing how things can miraculously work during the most opportune times? I'm sure they kicked the speed up in order to keep the heat off their tech support people over the holiday weekend. I firmly believe Bresnan has full control over this situation. |

Simba7I Void Warranties join:2003-03-24 Billings, MT | I don't think he wanted his company to get alot of bad press. I'm more pointing the fingers at the VP's that took it over and are running it now.
I've seen it before. Once the founder dies, so does the companys' ethics and what it stood for. Look at Wendy's. I went in there awhile ago (a month after Dave died) and had a WTF episode, wondering what the hell happened with their menu.
I guess it's a "Wait and see" moment. If they decide to bow to the almighty ACTA, I'm done. -- Bresnan 15M/1M|MyWS[P4HT@4.01GHz,2GB RAM,2x1TB HDDs,Win7]|WifeWS[P4@2.4GHz,1GB RAM,60GB HDD,Win7]|Router[2xP3@1GHz,640MB RAM,18GB HDD,Allied Telesyn AT-2560FX,Kingston KNE100TX,2xDigital DE504,Compaq NC3131,iPro/1000DP,Blitz BWI715,Gentoo Linux] |

crizo join:2009-11-09 Great Falls, MT 1 edit | In a cartoon it's ok to make jokes when someone dies. Maybe even to laugh. Sure, the guy founded the company we're having trouble with right now... But adults in real life don't make jokes or laugh when someone dies. Unless they're a complete ass - or maybe a redneck... Or 15. |

I went from Cox@home in San Diego to a 49.3kbps Dialup connection in Miles City. Talk about torture.
Unfortunately, Mid-Rivers took it over, along with the only competing cable service. *sigh*. Oh well. |
