My modem is completely dead communication wise.
A tech friend pushed the reset button for a long time thinking it would fix a problem and now the unit is nothing but a door stop.

Unit powers up, power light then all 4 ports monetarily then only the port that something is plugged into.

IPconfig shows:
dns: [blank]
ip=169.254.47.140
gateway: [blank]

Tried Telnetting to 192.168.1.1 to no avail.

Tried setting PC to 192.168.1.1 / mask 255.255.255.0 /
no gatewate & gateway toe 192.169.1.1 & .254
Also to no avail.

I've spent to much time wading through the netopia / motorola site in search of the magic wand.

I humbly ask you gurus for some guidance.
