The early production Tours do have trackball issues. The new ones have a green dot on the box, and I have not heard much about those failing. As with anything, the first production units can have issues.

Outside of that, it is a great phone. VZW has handled the failures very well from everything I've heard.

Also, keep in mind that the polls always lean negative for things like this since people who have bad experiences are very likely to complain, while those who have good experiences don't say much.

I even know Storm owners who are happy with their purchase. The problems that phone face include being RIM's first touch screen device, people thinking it is going to be exactly like an iPhone, and it is completely different from other BlackBerry devices that people may be used to. Software has improved, and should continue to improve.
