The CDMA bashers like to bash CDMA without understanding that 3G GSM is in fact CDMA based, and their supposedly "advanced" GSM standard used old TDMA techology prior to 3G.
Fact is that Verizon and Sprint were ahead of the curve when it came to what mattered most - reliability and seamless handoff between cell sites. And this was due to the way that CDMA works.
