Re: Yeap Verizon is stuck in the early 2000's VOICE service That's funny you mention that as my buddy's Storm just died a couple of days ago. I will give Verizon credit though, they have always been fantastic about swapping a phone in a Verizon store, no questions asked. |

I will give Verizon credit though, they have always been fantastic about swapping a phone in a Verizon store, no questions asked. I got a Storm early this year (like January or February), solely because I was going overseas for a work project. Prior to that, I'd been avoiding the smart phones like the plague (I just don't need to be that reachable). It was an earlyish release, so it had a lot of software bugs. When I got back from my third trip to Europe, a firmware update was available. Verizon told me that loading it should solve a lot of the issues I was having with the device. Well, it sorta did: the firmware update bricked my phone. But, Verizon was very good about swapping it (and then swapping the replacement phone because the replacement's USB functions were broken). Since then, it's been fairly reliable.
While I like the interface of the iPhone better, I'd not trade my Storm for the AT&T network. Around here, Verizon's coverage is SOOOOO much better than AT&T's. -- The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt. -- Bertrand Russell |
