| Satisfied With Network, Not With Phones I've had the exact opposite experience of a previous post where they had problems with Verizon in '04. I had Cingular from '99 - '03 and had spotty service. I switched to VZ late in '03 and have never had a problem with service. It's a reason that I grudgingly stay with them.
I like the idea of getting an iPhone largely due to the app store and its combination of features. The poor call quality I keep hearing about (and remembering) keeps me from switching -- after all, my primary need is a mobile phone. I've been eligible for a new phone for 9 months and haven't upgraded from my non-smart phone because I think the plans are overpriced and am opposed to VZ crippling the phones. Once I hear that AT&T quality is upgraded I'm bolting (assuming Verizon doesn't have an open version of the phone). | |
