| Lots of Rain this week
Anyone here enjoying the rain as much as I am? It's been raining all week and won't end until the next part of next week. I am glad at least the drought is now over and we can enjoy washing our cars again |

| I think most counties still have limited water bans in place, though I think enforcement is much more lax, if non-existent. (I know I've washed my truck in the driveway a few times already and no one has said anything.)
I worry about the trees in my yard though. A neighbor had a huge oak (very similar to one in my yard) fall over after heavy rains a few weeks ago and took out a power pole and blocked the street. At least it didn't hit their house. Mine leans toward my house. -- Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.

On a side note, my roof is leaking right where I thought it would lol. |

| reply to MitchBuckley In the thirty-four years this house has been standing there has never been water in the crawl space... until now.
(btw, six inches deep and has taken an hour just to pump an inch out from there with a six hundred gallon per hour pump) |

1 edit | reply to MitchBuckley Nice today in Powder Town, some roads still closed. I'm just down the road here from Oglesby Rd where they had some of the reports on the news from Sweetwater Creek where that whole neighborhood was under water and that house was on fire. That's right down from the Railroad terminals and the tracks were completely covered, couldn't see them on tv shot at all.
Sweetwater Creek can be deceiving as there are no many little tributaries feeding it that were all overflowing. Holloman Rd out by Sun Valley Beach, has a major Creek feed had the bridge and the road comletely engulfed, wish I had my camera.
Hope everyone is drying out and safe. Peace! |

| reply to skj I heard that some areas exceeded the 500 year flood plain level which means there is about a 0.2% annual probability of occurring. --

| What a dreary day it's been. I got off work at 3pm just in time to get caught in a heavy downpour! I think many Atlantans are tired of the rain now. I just hope we don't end up with more flooding problems. Hope you guys stay safe this weekend |
