Verizon Not all that.

Like I said, I have both and am on the other end on a lot of Verizon Wireless calls and they suck from a call quality stnadpoint. Very poor voice quality and too muffled sounding. There's dropouts and the overly aggressive echo canceler Verizon likes to use. And it's no wonder - they want to get rid of as much background noise as it eats up bandwidth on CDMA.

Now AT&T has a little more treble and some more background noise but you can always hear them loud and clear.

I think it's more brainwashing than anything. I've had most of them and Verizon is no better or worse than the others.

I agree. I've had both Verizon and AT&T and really can't say I had more network issues with one than the other. I think they're on pretty equal ground when it comes to voice and data network quality (although I do think the iPhone probably causes a lot more data congestion for AT&T now, but whether VZW could handle it any better is questionable). The deal breaker for me is that with AT&T, I can buy a GSM phone from anywhere, slip my SIM card in and have service. And it's very convenient when traveling internationally.
