Who knows, but one thing is for sure. In the New York Metro area, most people I know are dropping cable and switching to Fios quicker than they can say 'when can I have Fios?'
Their customer service is the worst, but hell, their technology is so solid, I only had to call them once because of a move. Not once since then.
