Re: Yeap Verizon is stuck in the early 2000's VOICE service said by tempnexus:Unsexy SmartPhone Selection and if you happen to even get a half decent smart phone they will lock the crap out of the phone with their nice secure Verizon blocks! Not anymore, I have a Verizon Touch Pro 2 and NOTHING on it is locked down, NOTHING. They no longer do it on phones, and have even released ROM's for phones like the original Touch Pro and Omnia that unlock GPS and other things, I would suggest you redo your Verizon review
As far as AT&T, Verizon has a much better network. Changing carriers just for phones is a mistake, what good is a phone if the network stinks? You should ALWAYS choose the network first, then the phones 2nd, if you do it the other way around you will be sorry. -- You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. |

 | I guess I have to go to Verizon and have them reflash it. Mine is locked down. And the network is the reason I am still with Verizon. However, I would love some better quality phones. For example many medical apps have been released for Iphone, not so for BB RIM. So now I have drag along with me my PDA, My BB and My Personal Phone....sigh. |

Get the latest version of Blackberry Desktop manager 5.0 from Verizon and you can update/flash the phone from the comfort of your living room..... lol
Then make sure in browser options you turn on java, kava, coffee and tea... Also, I downloaded Opera mini for Blackberry and it works very nicely to fill in where the Built-in browser leaves off and you can have both. |
