said by Krisnatharok :Don´t quote me on this, but I believe someone said somewhere that once you hit 6200AP raid'buffed, switch all extra gem slots to arpen. I´ll have to do some research on it though. I hate you right now, Arch. It´s ridiculous how long it takes me to win a weapon upgrade. Perhaps we can put together some uld25s so I can ditch this Edge of Ruin? Last night was the second 2Her I saw drop in over two months. The first was in an Ony25 a couple weeks ago. I'm just one less person to roll against you for a weapon now, heh.
Please do let me know what research you find in regards to STR vs armor pen. -- 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.' -Thomas Jefferson - |

| reply to Krisnatharok I want to find out my total avoidance for my DK tank, I remember someone saying that you can type something in or there's an add-on that will tell you this. Anyone know its name?
Also, once I've found this out, whats a good number to aim for in avoidance ( I know 100% would be ideal but we're being slightly serious here) and should I sacrifice Stamina for more avoidance?
Thanks. -- I think I just crit in my pants..... |

| I think raid buffed/procs, I have over 60% avoidance. That is more than plenty.
At this point, I'm aiming heavily for more stam. The more HP you have, the more you can absorb. If you've got decent gear, you'll pick up avoidance from the gear itself. My threat is good enough against DPS (but not against Antonica tank bleh) but I'm still hurting in the HP department. I still have more lines of upgrades to get and hopefully break 35k HP unbuffed soon. -- 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.' -Thomas Jefferson - |

| reply to Krisnatharok I know in my tank gear and spec, I am sitting around 64.23% avoidance with just my Horn. With trinkets and Runestrike procs, I am not sure what I get up to at that point. I am around 33-34k health unbuffed as well. Once, and if I ever get a weapon from Ony 10/25 with the Expertise on it, that will allow me to drop Expertise gems and aim for more STA / Avoidance stats. |

| reply to Krisnatharok Ugh, I hate Blizzard. Haste on my T9 chest. What garbage.
Tirael was nice enough to suffer a ghastly existence of trying to RL an Uld25 pug. We got up to IC and I was lucky enough to win Stormrune Edge, much to the fury (hah...) of our Warrior, who was also gunning for it.
My thought is that it's an improvement of Edge of Ruin, despite the loss in strength. At least until i get a DBB. -- "One can lead a child to knowledge, but one cannot make him think."

Also for me I'm a miner, so melting Titansteel is win =P
I'm sure that Titanium Razorplate would last until sometime into Icecrown. |

| reply to Krisnatharok So for shits and giggles I went Unholy (14/0/57) and am pulling some ungodly dps. Did 5600dps in H ToC on FC and BK.
This is with a weapon that completely lacks strength. Can't wait to see how I do in a raid environment and with a better weapon. =D |

| IT is a closer when you're moving in.
After that, when you're reapplying dots, you're clipping them (as intended under Unholy), so it doesn't matter for the rest of the fight. -- 'A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.' -Thomas Jefferson - |

| reply to Krisnatharok I figured I would chime in on this now. I have been blood for both tanking/dps since I hit 80. However, for the sake of our 25 man raid content, I will be respecing to Unholy for DPS. I am currently 3 PC T-9 and I am sure my gear is better suited for blood, but not sure. (Gadeon/hellsceam if you want to armory my dps spec) We have two DKs currently in our 25 that are frost/blood, and since I am a guild officer I figured I would change my spec to Unholy to take advantage of all 3 talent trees. I will continue to tank in Blood. My question is gear stats. How does Armor Pen affect Unholy, and should I change gear to account for other stats instead now? I am a Blood expert, but Unholy will be slightly different. |
