[Need Info] RCN Online Bill Payment Error?

I logged in this morning to pay my bill, that is due September 21st, and it is roughly $20 more. My statement says I need to pay $190.24 by September 21st, however, online it says $210.41. Regardless, I've paid my bill with the $190.24 due from the statement. My online account shows a balance of $20.17 now. Is there an error on RCN's part? Are people paying more than they have to if they don't look at their bill? This seems very very shady (no pun intended) of RCN if they're overcharging people.

Why don't you call them & ask?

Sometimes, if I pay online, my account doesn't reflect till the statement due date.

I've had this problem, too. I think that the online billing system just shows your total accrued balance, regardless of billing cycle. You only have to pay the amount due on your actual statement.
