Comcast security should launch a national plan to stop things like this. They have a bad enough image as it is. |

The problem is that these contractors are given incentives to sign up new customers and not just perform maintenance for Comcast. So some contractors looking to boost their income break the rules and do really stupid things like this. If Comcast catches a contractor's employee doing this the contractor company should be terminated and not allowed to bid for Comcast business ever again.

She added that different contractors are currently performing audits across the Panhandle. They are only authorized to turn off service if they can verify that someone is stealing cable from Comcast, Schnitker said. And according to the police report photocopied here in this story, Cao is a contractor and not an employee:

But yet....the asshats who ran billion dollar companies into the ground, destroying thousands and thousands of lives due to lost savings accounts and 401k's....should be let off the hook with multi-million dollar bonuses.
Yep...sounds about right....jail time for an idiot who disconnected a few cables lines....yet nothing happens to the fat cats.
Don't get me wrong...what he did was idiotic plain and simple...his termination is punishment enough..but jail time...give me a break.
As for someone needing to call 911...how do you know the people affected were using voip? |

If you would have bothered to read the entire summary, you would have seen the last sentence that said that Springfield doesn't offer data services so disconnecting a 911 call wouldn't have even been possible. |

 Does this guy have stupid written all across his forehead? So stupid of him to do such a thing. This is the last thing Comcast needs there technician's to do seeing is how Comcast already has a bad image. When Comcast placed the 250 gigabyte monthly cap and throttling on the HSI service that is what drove me to cancel my Comcast service and sign up for Clearwire WiMAX internet service. |
