Shaw slowly moving in

Anyone notice that sometimes in between commercial there is a split second that you can see the Shaw logo?

I wonder when they will make a public announcement via mail that we are being switched to Shaw? Most people don't even know that Shaw bought Mountain so it might be a surprise to them.

I was looking at their prices and for 15Mbps connection it's $45.00/month regular price when bundled with any other Shaw service. Right now I'm paying $43.95 for internet. So I wonder if they will push us to get their 15Mbps for an extra $1.05? I think that would be great.

Don't expect anything to change from Shaw taking over. I recently did my annual e-mail to MC asking if they plan to increase speeds like they sometimes do around this time of year. This was their reply:

"Hello and thank you for contacting Mountaincable via our website.

I am forwarding your comments to our Marketing department so they are aware of your feedback. Unfortunately, at this time there are no plans at this time to increase the speed of our internet service. We offer our current speed of 7MBPS, and a majority of our subscribers are happy with this service.

You are quite correct, there is a sale pending with Shaw Cable to purchase Mountaincable, and at this time we have been advised that there will be no changes in our service in the near future.

We appreciate your feedback, and again, I will pass it along to the appropriate department.

Thank you,

Catherine

Customer Service"

So yeah, expect nothing. How saddening.

Anyone hear about this...

You would think Cogeco would be doing the suing for such a small takeover.

Fusion thats actually old news. The courts decided Shaw is able to purchase Mountaincable, and the deal will be going through. This was just decided a few weeks ago.

I got my official announcement letter from Shaw on Friday. Anyone else?

Man I don't really want to abandon this forum. It's been so peaceful around here with hardly no one ever posting anything. Now it looks like I will have to move down the street to the Shaw forum.
