And if you had read the rest of the history about this song, you would know that in the 60's the lyrics were changed to the present version due to "political correctness". The present version is the accepted and only version the Redskins Band has performed since the change. I would know, I was at the games back then and I remember it.

A hollow victory? That was very, very close to being a way, way-hollower loss.

It was actually 0-4 in red-zone efficiency, as the 5th time was when they were taking knees at the end of the game.
And if no touchdowns of any sort are scored, then it only reasonably follows that there will be no rushing touchdowns, no passing touchdowns, and no extra points.

The offense wasn't too bad from a statistical standpoint-- they moved the ball, had some decent passing yards and rushing yards, and a good time-of-possession number.

What they didn't have was points on the scoreboard, and that's just another day at the office for the Washington Redskins.
It's something that seems to have been afflicting the team for several years now.

Scalp 'em, swamp 'em. Touchdown. (Hello??)
We wantum heap more.

But you can't have 'heap more' until you score a first one.
(That's just a note to the Redskins organization, in case they're confused about how that works.)
