Re: Amazon USPS So an hour ago, I just emailed what happened. They replied with that they are using FedEx Smart Post to do the shipping and then using USPS as their last leg. They gave me a link to fedex's tracking site and surprisingly, it was there. It gave me an estimated delivery date of September 22.
So, in the future, if anyone can't get a track on USPS's track, try Fedex's tracking site..... |

Missouri City, TX | and also UPS.. both of them have similar service agreement with USPS. With the Free Shipping service that Amazon is offering they are going to either use UPS or FedEX + USPS for shipping because it might be easier for them to track everything afterwords. |

Woot.com also uses Smart Post. It sucks. Took them a week to deliver a package from Dallas to me, all of maybe 175 miles. 
The Smart Post motto seems to be "We really suck, but we sure are cheap!"  |

If you order enough from Amazon, it really is worth it to get a Prime membership. Free 2-day shipping and $4 for overnight.
I think Prime costs about $60 per year, I have had it since around 2004 and it really is a lifesaver if you need to send gifts FAST for birthdays, holidays, etc. |

It's worth every penny if you order a lot of stuff online. The savings have probably paid for my membership 3-4x in the last 60 days alone.
