| Looking for Router w/ Inbound IP Address Filtering
Hello. I have an Actiontec DSL router that was provided by my ISP. I'll be switching ISPs, and will need to buy my own router. This time it will not be DSL based.
One feature I'm looking for that the Actiontec has is the ability to setup Port Forwarding where I can specify not only the incoming port number, but the incoming IP address. And I can forward it to any IP address within the network. So I currently have rules setup like:
External IP: 65.200.200.xxx, External Port: 80, Internal IP: 192.168.0.100, Internal Port: 80 External IP: 82.100.100.xxx, External Port: 3389, Internal IP: 192.168.0.100, Internal Port: 3389 ... etc
When looking at some of the User Guides online for routers from Linksys, DLink, Netgear, they all seem to have the option to specify the External (Inbound) Port, but NOT the External IP address.
I know the high-end routers allow this, but am hoping someone might know of a less expensive router that allows this?
Any tips are appreciated -- thanks. |
