 | IP whois or speedtest.net is showing me in witchita kansas also eventhough I'm in kalispell. I also noticed tracerts don't connect to the kalispell datacenter anymore. The first hop is always,
1 * * * Request timed out.
and if I try to tracert to kalispell host-10-31-240-1.kls-mt.client.bresnan.net [10.31.240.1] it goes from,
a static ip in butte host-69-144-26-161.static.bresnan.net [69.144.26.161]
to missoula mslmt002hb7-SO-1-2-2-U0.int.bresnan.net [69.144.26.181]
to wyoming chywy001hb7-GE-0-0-0-U435.int.bresnan.net [69.144.26.52]
to 2 different junctions in colorado durco001hb6-SO-0-2-0-U0.int.bresnan.net [69.146.190.62] gdjco001hb7-GE-1-0-0-U48.int.bresnan.net [69.146.239.49]
back to Grand Junction Colorado 69.146.239.189
to Qwest in new york @ 208.46.186.237
This leads me to believe the networks have a deal to share backbones and have optimized some of Qwests routes at the expense of changing Bresnan customers routes. |
