Speed upgrades for free

After a summer of plant and headend upgrades (we split 6 nodes and replaced our CMTS and core switching equipment) we have launched upgraded speeds, at no additional cost. The details are as follows:

Ultra-Lite 512 kbps down/128 kbps up (was 128/64)
Lite 2 Mbps down/256 kbps up (was 512/160)
Residential 10 Mbps down/1 Mbps up (was 7.5/640)
Plus 15 Mbps down/1.25 Mbps up (was 10/800)

We continue to have no hard caps or overage charges. We do have a soft cap policy that says in certain cases of fairly extreme usage our staff might call to see what's going on. Frequently this call leads to the discovery of an unsecured router or a virus of some kind. I know of only one instance in the past several years where we lowered someone's speed profile for part of a month due to extreme usage.
