It does NOT replace the traditional 404 page.

Why do you continue to say this EVERY time DNS redirection is reported on here?

A 404 is an error page returned by a web server. That means DNS actually worked, and you got to a non-working link.

DNS redirection looks at DNS queries, not at port 80/443 connections to web servers.

No one's 404 pages are being replaced by Comcast's or anyone's DNS redirection.

I'm pretty sure the topic was 'server not found' but 404 slipped through.

I never claim to be competent before half a pot of coffee..

But yeah the idea is that if you type google.om or something similar you know what I just gave up explaining halfway through the sentence you know what I'm talking about anyhow.
