I thought you could just point your router, PC or whatever to new DNS servers of your choice. That would be your opt-out.
Good point. You can opt out of it by choosing to not use the internet
I was referring to all the hype about OpenDNS being something that it isn't. You cannot use their servers and opt out of their 'helper' enhancement. Also, my experience has proven OpenDNS slower than the standard issue ISP DNS servers.
Even if they all went to that, you can host your own DNS server and make repairs best you can. It's just a needless pain for a few extra advertising bucks. I applaud Comcast for not overlooking us who rely on 'clean' DNS replies
