Extending on what birdfeedr  suggested is to try connecting the fax machine directly to the test jack in the copper NID. If you've been switched back from fiber POTS to copper, the test jacks in the NID should be active. A tech visit would have been involved to disconnect the inside wiring from the ONT and reconnect it to the NID. |
