Re: Radio in Uverse line??

I would suggest that you go to the top of the forums and see how to PM Matt from Uverse Tier2. You should not be getting radio transmission into your VoIP and it is not your RG.

You have one of 3 problems.

1. If you are coax fed from the NID, you have an ungrounded shield in the coax. When this happens, the shield becomes an antenna. Of course, if your run from the NID is CAT, this is probably not the problem.

2. It could be a cable trouble (AT&T outside plant). An open or unterminated bridge tap or an ungrounded terminal box are the usual culprits.

3. The proximity of the radio station may be a problem, although, we should be able to provide your with clean service.

Either way, it's a trial and error process because we just don't have the people here in AT&T that knew that stuff. They have all retired and the company (AT&T) never saw fit to replace the Induction Interference Department.

I used to deal with the Induction Interference Department a lot in the old days but now that most of the interconnecting network is fiber, there is not that much call.
