Those that really wanted an iPhone have already jumped ship from Verizon over to AT&T. I wouldn't expect any huge migrations going forward, unless the perception of AT&T's inferior service is remedied. Anyone that has been willing to wait this long for an iPhone to be available through another wireless provider is probably not willing to switch if no deal is ever reached.
That's fine with me, it just means less congestion for us AT&T iPhone users. There's no joke on Apple, they are making out like bandits with the iPhone. The joke is on Verizon for the lost revenue from iPhone contracts. They may have the "best" network, but they are arguably the worst at consumer choice when it comes to software (and phones).
