FIOS Router access

booyah50 posted : Hi,

the other day I was setting up WPA2 on the FIOS router Verizon installed (but ordered through DSLX), but I encountered this amazingly annoying login problem:

I can't log into the router more than once. I can hit the reset key and wait until the device reboots, and then I am asked to pick a password, and the next time I need to access the router - no access: "Login failed, please try again:".

I even made a new user (me) and made me an admin in the admin group, and still I cannot log in.

So it seems like the only way I can ever make a change to this router is to reset back to factory settings (and then remember all settings I must set it back to) each and every time I need to make a change.

That's insane! I'm often opening and closing posts, etc...

Please help me! WTF is the problem with that router?
