A technician will be at my house today to see what the issue is. I don't believe the issue is at my house. Someone else on this forums is having the same issue as well. CDCguard. I'm just hoping that he tries to tell me it's my router causing the issue because I'd love to jump all over that lol. Apparently the 10mb service was pretty stable until I had mine installed =(

We'll see what happens

I have windjammer as well. I almost always get the full 15mb where i'm at. Of course i live in a rural area too, that may make a difference. The tv service is a different story though. They don't even offer 1 hd channel here on windjammer. I just hope my service doesn't go downhill as i really like the fast speed i get now. I know some area are in desperate need of upgrading. I don't know if windjammer will do much upgrading though. I sure hope they do though, but i'v heard they may sell out some of their systems or even drop them altoghether. I know they was wanting to do that to some WV systems.

Btw what do you signal levels look like on your modem. Sometimes if you signal levels are way off that can also effect speed. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'll do a test tonight and post the results of the signal levels. I have to plug directly in my modem to do it. I'm going through a wireless router at the moment. Believe it or not....my speed has gotten worse since my test yesterday! It's so bad I can't even run a speed test.....

Windjammer didn't even show up today like they were supposed to. I'm getting really close to going into the local office and chewing on someone.

Here's what I found....

ouch... your signal to noise ratio is not very good. I think the recommended signal to noise ratio is like at least 33. Mine is actually like 39. The rest of those stats won't effect your speed but i'm pretty sure that signal to noise ratio will. Has windjammer came out yet? I'm not sure what the issue is but that definatly needs adjusted.

I found this in the faq's on this site. "Downstream SNR: This number is best over 30, but you may not have any problems with down to 25." With the implementation of QAM 265 downstream modulation, the minimum figure should now be 33 dB or higher. 25 dB is now considered way out of spec.

Well I went to the local office today. They confirmed that there is a broken piece of equipment here in Janesville. They said it wouldn't be fixed until this Friday. Man....when TWC had this area we didn't have issues like this lol.

Yeah, that 29 db SNR is terrible. That's likely the cause of your problems. I'd recommend at least 35 db for noise variance and temperature factors.

Though just in case Windjammer is wrong on their side, you could try connecting the modem directly to your drop and check your stats/speeds there? Check for loose connections on splitters as well and make sure to use as few splitters as possible.
